SHINOBI: ART OF VENGEANCE

For the launch of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the SEGA team had one major challenge to face: this is a classic title that many gamers have never even heard about. On top of that, it was launching during the same time as a major competitor within the same space.

Yet, there was one key aspect that would help this title standout amidst popular launches: overwhelmingly stunning visuals and the acclaimed critic reviews to back it up.

The challenge: New audiences don’t understand what sets this game apart from other games within the same space.

The solution: Lean into the beautifully crafted, hand-illustrations while building cohesive visual connections that align with the early-access demo.

LAUNCH PHASE

The challenge: Fans might not know that this is a classic. Or, if they do and have already played, why play it again?

The solution: Return to the classic key art, redesigned - a chance to remind audiences that this is a classic SEGA title, reimagined and already a big hit amongst critics.
